The ECU Health SurgiCenter has been helping families in eastern North Carolina since 1982. Licensed and accredited by The Joint Commission, our facility is a freestanding ambulatory surgery center in Greenville. The SurgiCenter is a joint venture between ECU Health Medical Center and local physicians who provide the best care to patients in our region.

A Tour for Our Youngest Patients
See our facility through a child’s eyes. This special tour will help children feel more at ease on the day of their procedure. You’ll meet our team, explore a family-friendly center, and learn more about what to expect before, during and after surgery. At the end of the tour, we’ll have a surprise gift for your child.
Tours are held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. for children ages 3-12 and their families. You are not required to RSVP, but feel free to call us at 252-847-7700 with questions.

Choosing to have surgery at the SurgiCenter is typically 35-45 percent less expensive than doing a procedure in a hospital setting. We have insurance contracts with most all the major insurance carriers in eastern North Carolina, and we’ll work with you to coordinate coverage with your insurer.

Go Clear Award™
The ECU Health SurgiCenter received the Go Clear Award™ for 2021 from the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). The award recognizes the SurgiCenter’s work to eliminate hazardous smoke from surgical procedures caused by the use of lasers and electrosurgery devices. The SurgiCenter earned the award by undergoing comprehensive surgical smoke education and using appropriate devices to evacuate surgical smoke during all smoke-generating procedures.
